This policy explains what information we collect when you use yadom.life, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It is written to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect
Information you give us:

- Billing and shipping address
- Order history and preferences
- Anything you send us over email, WhatsApp or our contact form
- Reviews, photos or comments you post
Information collected automatically:
- Device type, browser, operating system, IP address
- Pages viewed, time on site, referral source
- Cart activity and browsing behaviour on the site
What we do not collect: we do not store your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN. Payments are handled by our payment gateway partner on their own secure systems.

- To send order confirmations, tracking updates and delivery notifications
- To handle cancellations, replacements and refunds
- To answer your questions and resolve complaints
- To send marketing messages, where you have opted in

We rely on your consent for marketing. We rely on the necessity of performing our contract with you for everything connected to fulfilling your order.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with parties who need it to deliver our service to you:
- Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your order
- Payment gateway partners, to process payment
- Shopify, which hosts this store
- Analytics, marketing and communication tools we use to run the business
- Our professional advisors, and government or regulatory authorities where the law requires it
We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent or trade your contact details to third parties for their own marketing.
Some of these partners process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data is protected to a comparable standard.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure our advertising.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the site, including checkout, may not work properly if you do.
Marketing

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and after that for as long as we need it to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Invoice and transaction records are retained for the period required under Indian tax law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take this seriously and will notify you and the relevant authority if a breach affects you.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or update inaccurate data
- Ask us to erase your data, where we are not required to keep it
- Withdraw consent you previously gave
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to
- Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved
To exercise any of these, write to care@yadom.life from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be notified on the website.
